About the Team
Reporting into Miro's CIO & Head of Business Transformation, this leadership role will oversee three key areas:
- Office Operations: Manage the daily IT operations, ensuring an exceptional employee experience for Mironeers worldwide.
- Workplace (and Hybrid) Experience: Drive global initiatives to enhance office collaboration and lead the evolution of our physical and digital workspaces.
- Agile & Employee-Centric IT Programs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic IT initiatives, ensuring compliance with corporate security and audit requirements
About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Head of Workplace Technology to redefine IT at Miro, transforming it into a strategic enabler of collaboration and innovation. This role extends beyond traditional IT leadership, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including AI and automation, to create a seamless, high-performing digital workplace for our global teams.
You will lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to drive forward-thinking solutions that enhance productivity, collaboration, and security. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping Miro’s future workplace and delivering a meaningful impact across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute a workplace technology strategy that aligns with business goals, enhances employee productivity, and drives digital transformation.
- Act as a change agent, advocating for AI adoption and emerging technologies to optimise IT operations.
- Integrate AI and automation into IT workflows and the operating model, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead and inspire a team of 20 IT professionals across six global locations, cultivating a world-class, engaged workforce.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with Miro’s core values and ways of working.
Employee Experience & Collaboration
- Take a product-centric approach to internal IT systems, prioritising employee needs and maximising value.
- Partner with the Workplace team to create a seamless in-office and hybrid work experience that boosts employee satisfaction.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimisation of core collaboration and productivity platforms.
- Work closely with Business Technology, People Technology, and other departments to deliver an integrated, streamlined technology experience across the company.
Operational Excellence
- Lead day-to-day IT operations while spearheading innovation projects to refine processes and systems.
- Optimise IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and procurement.
- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with corporate security to uphold cutting-edge security standards, balancing robust protection with business agility.
What You’ll Need
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of IT management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience leading IT in organisations with 2,000+ employees across multiple global locations.
Strategic & Leadership Skills
- Proven track record in developing and executing IT strategies that drive business success and enhance productivity.
- Expertise in change management and leading digital transformation at scale.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience managing distributed teams.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotic process automation (RPA)
- Strong familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Identity and access management solutions such as Okta.
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience managing Apple environments using Jamf and administering Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of showroom technologies and video conferencing solutions to support hybrid work environments.
Governance & Security
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices for security
